LeBron James put up another dominant performance, recording his 20th triple-double of the season to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a thrilling 118-111 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.
James finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 15 assists, while Anthony Davis added 28 points and 12 rebounds. For the Clippers, Paul George led the way with 35 points, followed by Kawhi Leonard's 26 points and 11 rebounds.
The game was a back-and-forth affair throughout, with neither team able to take a commanding lead. The Clippers held a 5-point advantage at halftime, but the Lakers battled back in the second half to tie the game heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the teams traded baskets until the Lakers finally took control in the final minutes. With just 1:30 remaining, James drained a clutch three-pointer to give the Lakers a 113-106 lead. The Clippers cut the deficit to two points with under a minute to play, but James hit another jumper to seal the victory.
The Lakers now hold a 3-2 lead in the series and can clinch a berth in the NBA Finals with a win in Game 6 on Thursday night.
