Jaylen Brown Agrees to Five-Year Extension with Boston Celtics
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has agreed to a five-year contract extension worth up to $304 million, according to multiple reports.
The extension will keep Brown in Boston through the 2028-29 season.
Brown, who has been with the Celtics since 2016, is coming off a career season in which he averaged 24.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He was named an All-Star for the first time and helped lead the Celtics to the NBA Finals, where they lost to the Golden State Warriors.
The extension is a sign of the Celtics' commitment to building around Brown and Jayson Tatum, who signed a five-year extension of his own last year. The two young stars are considered to be one of the best duos in the NBA and are expected to lead the Celtics to contend for championships in the years to come.
